Original Combination: Proteides Lyciades

Proposed as a replacement name for Papilio lycidas J. E. Smith, 1797, with the same data (Code Article 60.3). This name was mentioned (as Proteides Lyciades) by Hübner [1819], Verz. bekannt. Schmett. (7): 105, without a description or indication; a nomen nudum.
