Type Locality: “baie de Campéche, ou elle a été prise par M Perbosc á plus d'une lieue en mer, sur son bâtiment” The Bay of Campéche abuts the states of Veracruz, Tabasco and Campeche. [Mexico]

Types: Syntype(s) possibly in MNHP or BMNH.
