Type Locality: “America”; provisionally determined be “Jamaica” by D. Bates (1935), Bull. Harvard Mus. Comp. Zool. 78(2): 139; stated as “probably Jamaica” by Klots (1951), Field Guide Butts. N. Am.: 190.
