Burns (1989), J. Lepid. Soc. 43(1): 11-32, suggested that Atalopedes and Hesperia are closely related. = Pansydia Scudder, 1872 4th Ann. Rep. Peabody Acad. Sci. (1871): 81. Type-species: Hesperia mesogramma Latreille, [1824], in: Ency. méth. 9(Ins.)(2): (722), 765, no. 106, by original designation.
