Original Combination: Thecla eryphon

Type Locality: “Californie” implied from the title of the paper; defined as “Hwy 70 at Soda Creek, E. Branch North Fork Feather River Canyon, Plumas County, California” by J. Emmel et al. (1998), Syst. W. N. Am. Butts. (2): 11.

Types: Lectotype in USNM, designated by J. Emmel et al. (1998), Syst. W. N. Am. Butts. (2): 11, figs. 27 ♀ D, 28 ♀ V.
