Genus Chioides Lindsey, 1921

Bull. Labs. Nat. Hist. St. Univ. Iowa 9(4): 25-26. Type-species: Eudamus albofasciatus Hewitson, 1867, Descr. one hundred new spec. Hesp. (1): 3-4, no. 2, by original designation.


Chioides zilpa (Butler, 1872)

Lepid. Exot. (8): 109, pl. 40, fig. 2 ♂ V.

Original Combination: G[oniurus]. Zilpa

Type Locality: “Cartago, Costa Rica”

Types: Holotype in BMNH.

Cat. Am. Hesp. Brit. Mus. (2): 58; cited W. Holland (1931), Butt. Book (rev. ed.): pl. 49, fig. 18 ♂ V.

Original Combination: [Chioides zilpa] namba
