Neonympha helicta (Hübner, [1808]) The separation of N. helicta from N. areolata was discussed by Gatrelle (1999), Tax. Rept. Int. Lepid. Surv. 1(8): 1-8, but requires additional corroboration.

Lond. 1866(3): 499, no. 117; neotype from “vicinity of Aiken State Park, Aiken County, South Carolina.” Types: Neotype in MGCL, designated by Gatrelle (1999), Tax. Rept. Int. Lepid.
