Rhop. 2(157): 488, no. 1; 3: pl. 93, figs. 41, 42, 43, by original designation. Burns (1992), J. Lepid. Soc. 46(1): 1-23, discussed the circumscription of this genus; he removed melane (to Poanes) and added snowi (from Ochlodes).
